Site Processing and Compatibility Errors

What to do if your site import is taking too long or failing during signup.

Overview

When you sign up for Flint, the onboarding process is fully automated. The only thing you need to provide is the URL of your existing site. Flint handles the rest - it visits your site, extracts your brand's design system, and sets up your workspace.

Once the import is complete, you will be notified and your workspace will be ready to use.

URL Requirements

For the import to succeed, the URL you provide must meet two conditions:

  1. 1.Valid - It should be a properly formatted web address (e.g., https://yourcompany.com).
  2. 2.Publicly reachable - The page must be accessible without a login, password, or VPN. If your site is behind a staging gate or access restriction, use your public-facing URL instead.

Import Taking Too Long or Not Completing

The import process typically completes within a few minutes. If you have been waiting longer than expected and have not received a notification:

  • Check that the URL you provided was publicly accessible at the time of signup
  • Contact us at support@tryflint.com with your account email and the URL you used

Our team will investigate and follow up as quickly as possible.

Import Failed or Showing an Error

If you see an error during or after the import process, reach out to support@tryflint.com with:

  • Your account email address
  • The URL you provided during signup
  • A brief description of what you see

Our team will get you unblocked.
