Create a Page from a PDF

Turn any PDF document into a polished landing page using Flint's AI chat.

Overview

If you have a PDF such as a one-pager, datasheet, event agenda, or case study, you can use Flint to turn it into a fully designed landing page. The AI reads the PDF's content and layout, then generates a page that matches your brand and preserves the key information.

Before You Start

Make sure you have:

  • A PDF file saved on your computer
  • A Flint project open in the editor
  • Your brand colors and fonts already set up in Flint (optional but recommended for best results)

Step 1: Open the AI Chat

Click the AI chat panel on the right side of the Flint editor. This is where you will give instructions to the agent.

Step 2: Upload Your PDF

In the AI chat input area, click the plus (+) button and select Attach files, then choose your PDF file from your computer. Flint supports PDF files up to 20 MB. Once uploaded, the file name will appear in the chat input.

Step 3: Describe the Page You Want

After attaching the PDF, type a prompt describing what you want Flint to build. Here are some example prompts:

  • "Create a landing page based on this PDF datasheet"
  • "Turn this event agenda PDF into a registration page"
  • "Build a product overview page using the content from this one-pager"

Be as specific as you like. You can mention the target audience, the goal of the page, or any sections you want highlighted.

Step 4: Review and Refine

Flint will generate the page and display it on the canvas. Review the layout, copy, and structure. If anything needs adjusting, just type a follow-up message in the chat:

  • "Move the pricing section above the testimonials"
  • "Make the headline shorter and more direct"
  • "Add a CTA button that links to our sign-up page"

You can also click any element directly on the canvas to edit text or images inline.

Step 5: Add or Replace Images

PDFs often contain charts, diagrams, or photos. Flint can:

  • Extract images embedded in the PDF and add them to the asset library
  • Generate new AI images to replace placeholder visuals
  • Let you upload your own images via the asset panel

To add an image, ask the agent in chat or drag and drop a file onto the canvas.

Step 6: Publish Your Page

When you are happy with the result, click the Publish button in the top right corner of the editor to make the page live at your configured domain.

Tips for Best Results

  • Text-based PDFs produce better results than image-only or scanned PDFs
  • If the PDF is mostly images, describe the content in your prompt to help the agent understand the intent
  • For multi-page PDFs, specify which pages or sections you want the agent to focus on
  • If your brand design system is already set up in Flint, the generated page will automatically use your colors, fonts, and component styles

Troubleshooting

PDF does not upload: Check that the file is under 20 MB and is a valid PDF. Try re-exporting from the source application.

Content looks wrong: The PDF may be image-heavy or poorly structured. Add a detailed prompt describing the page sections and copy you expect.

Page does not match your brand: Make sure your design system has been imported into Flint. Ask the agent to apply your brand colors and fonts after the initial page is generated.
