Reviewing and Applying a Recommendation

Nothing happens to your live account or your site until you approve it. You stay in control of every change, and Flint re-checks the current state of your account immediately before it applies anything.

How execution works

Opening a recommendation shows a step-by-step view of what Flint will do. Depending on the recommendation, it moves through building and reviewing a landing page, proposing and reviewing a Google Ads change, or both. Each step waits for your approval before continuing.

Start execution

The primary button reflects what the recommendation will do:

  • Build Page in Flint - for landing-page recommendations
  • Plan Google Ads Change - for Google Ads configuration recommendations

Click it to begin. To decline instead, click Reject - you can add optional feedback, which Flint uses to improve future runs.

Review a page change

When Flint finishes building, the recommendation enters page review:

  • Use the listed page links to open each page - Open Preview URL to see it live, or Edit in Flint to open it in the editor.
  • Click Approve and Publish to publish to production (or Approve to keep the changes when publishing isn't available).
  • Reject stops the publish. Note that rejecting does not undo changes already made to your Flint site - you can continue editing or discard them in the editor.

Review a Google Ads change

For a configuration change, Flint shows the exact Proposed change, its Reasoning, and the raw Google Ads API Operations it will run against your account, so there are no surprises.

  • Click Confirm and Apply to apply the change in your Google Ads account.
  • Click Reject to discard it.

Changes are applied as a single batch - the whole approved change goes through together or not at all - and Flint verifies the account state right before applying, so a change that's already been made (or that targets something now paused or removed) is safely skipped.

Adjust a recommendation before applying

If a recommendation is close but not quite right, click Refine Recommendation with Flint to chat about it. Ask Flint to change the target keywords, rework the page, or adjust the proposed operations. Flint updates the recommendation in place, and you then Confirm and Apply (or Approve) the revised version.

If something fails

If a run fails or is canceled, the primary button becomes Try again so you can re-run that step without starting over.
