Google Ads Conversion Tracking

Flint works alongside your existing Google Ads conversion tracking. Understanding the boundary up front will set the right expectations for what the agent can and can't do.

What Flint does

  • Reads your conversion actions to understand what a "conversion" means for your account, so recommendations aim at the outcomes you actually care about - not just clicks.
  • Flags conversion-tracking problems as recommendations. If tracking looks broken, misconfigured, or missing on pages that need it, Flint surfaces that so you can fix it.

What Flint does not do

  • Flint does not create, upload, or manage conversions on your behalf. It does not send offline conversions, click IDs (gclid), or conversion adjustments back into Google Ads.
  • Setting up and maintaining conversion tracking - tags, conversion actions, and imports - stays in your Google Ads account and analytics tooling.

What to do instead

Keep your conversion tracking configured in Google Ads and your analytics stack as usual. To add analytics and conversion tags to the pages Flint builds, see Analytics & Tag Manager. Once tracking is healthy, Flint's recommendations become more accurate because it can see which conversions actually matter.
