Auto Run: Scheduled Recommendations

Auto Run keeps your recommendation inbox fresh automatically, so opportunities and wasted spend surface on their own instead of waiting for you to remember to run an analysis.

Overview

Auto Run keeps your recommendation inbox fresh automatically, so opportunities and wasted spend surface on their own instead of waiting for you to remember to run an analysis.

The schedule

When Auto Run is enabled, Flint generates a new set of recommendations weekly, on Mondays at 9:00 AM PT. A weekly cadence gives your account enough time to accumulate meaningful new data (search terms, spend, conversions) between runs while still keeping the inbox current.

Auto Run and manual runs work together: even with Auto Run on, you can generate recommendations on demand at any time with the Recommendations button, and the header always shows when the last run completed.

Turn Auto Run on or off

  1. 1.Open Google Ads (or the Connectors page).
  2. 2.Click the settings gear on the Google Ads connector.
  3. 3.Choose Configure Auto Run.
  4. 4.In the Auto Run frequency dialog, pick one:
    • -Weekly - Mondays at 9:00 AM PT
    • -Off - no automatic runs; you generate recommendations manually
  5. 5.Click Save.

How Auto Run interacts with your plan

Scheduled runs draw on your plan's allowance like any other research run. If your organization is over its usage limit when a scheduled run is due, that run is skipped rather than partially completed, and it resumes automatically once you're back within your allowance. See Credits and Usage for Google Ads for details.

Turning Auto Run Off is a good choice if you prefer to review and clear your inbox before generating more, or during a period when you don't want new suggestions.
