Sonoma Forge’s Story

CHRIS ROSANO/VP, SONOMA FORGE

Petaluma, CA

Founded: 1999

In his own words: “People love faucets. And ours are so unique, there’s nothing like it on the market. Everything is made in CA, made the USA, and customers love that. You tell us what you want, we’ll hammer it out and deliver.”

Sonoma Forge Story:

Ever been inside a restroom and Instagrammed the faucet? Chances are, you snapped a picture of fixtures designed and manufactured by Sonoma Forge. For nearly 15 years, The Petaluma-based company has produced one-of-a-kind high-end faucets, tub fillers and shower systems.

“We like to use the term industrial chic and rustic elegance to describe our faucets,” said Chris Rosano, Vice President of Sonoma Forge. “Yes, there’s an art to plumbing. We design and engineer the fixtures and send them down to our factory in Southern California for production. You’ll find us in homes, hotels, resorts, companies all over the world.

PF Changs and the MGM Grand in Las Vegas are customers of Sonoma Forge. And the company also does business around the world, with big projects in Spain, Germany and China.

Rosano started using Flint last summer after coming across it on a social networking site. He and president Eric Ambjor had talked about accepting credit cards for a few years, but no one had a good offer until they found Flint.

“Before Flint, we didn’t take credit cards. The rates were key factors, and Flint had the lowest prices among credit card processors. PayPal was a huge pain to deal with. We also liked the fact we didn’t need a dongle or other hardware, and we could use it straight from our smart phone. Flint saves everybody a  lot of time”

Rosano says Sonoma Forge still operates as a small business, giving their customers personalized service. So given a low office staff that wears many hats, finding tools that streamlined payments and transactions were important for business to grow, stay efficient and be competitive.

“Flint is so easy to use. If I have questions, I can get through right away nowadays, but I have no complaints.”###
