DEATHSROWLEY JR., WILLIE A retired automobile mechanic and resident of Baton Rouge, he died Friday, June 21, 1996, at Earl K. Long Medical Center. He was 86 and a native of Baker. Visiting at Winnfield Funeral Home, 7221 Plank Road, 1 p.m. Wednesday until Masonic rites at 8 p.m. Religious services at Camphor Memorial United Methodist Church, 8600 Scenic Highway, at 3 p.m. Thursday, conducted by the Rev. Roger D. Lathan. Interment in Southern Memorial Gardens. Survived by wife, Mabel H. Rowley, Baton Rouge; two sisters, Rosalee Rowley Monroe and Della Rowley Stewart, both of New Orleans; other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by parents, Willie Rowley Sr. and Laura Morrison Rowley; sisters, Tuller Allen, Edna Lombard, Lillie Mae Thomas and Laura Handy; and brothers, Henry, Roosevelt and Edward Rowley. Pallbearers will be Glen Rowley, Larry Rowley, Dr. William B. Harrell, Dr. Clifton Armstrong and Leonard Bell. Honorary pallbearers are members of usher board, finance committee and United Methodist Men of Camphor Memorial United Methodist Church and Masonic Lodge No. 166. He was a member of Camphor Memorial United Methodist Church and honored for more than 50 years of service to the church |
