ZANESVILLE -- William C. Jewell, 79, of Zanesville, died at 10:30 a.m.
Sunday, Nov. 3, 2002, at Genesis Hospice, Morrison House.
He was born Nov. 8, 1922 at Martins Ferry, the son of the late Cleiton
T. and Beulah Rowley Jewell. He was the administrator for several rehab
services, member of Peace Lutheran Church in Sparta, Mich., and a World
War II Navy Veteran. He belonged to several occupational organizations
and was a former member of numerous Bulldog clubs.
Surviving is his loving companion, Eleanor Garrison of the home; two
daughters, Donna Edwards of Kent City, Mich., and Kathy (Dean) Stillion
of Zanesville; five grandchildren, Dan Edwards of Atlanta, Ga., Steve
and Holly Edwards of Kent City and Josh and Kaitlyn Stillion of
Zanesville; a great-grandson, Christopher Edwards of Kent City; a
sister, Dorothy Rice of St. Clairsville; several nieces and nephews;
numerous bulldog friends; and his three loving bulldogs, Tom, Sally and
Dooley.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Virginia Jewell,
who died July 22, 1977; and a sister, Lois Herman.
A caring cremation has taken place. Friends may call from 1 p.m. until
time of services, Wednesday, at Bolin Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue,
where memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. with the Rev. John
Edwards officiating.
