DEATHS

MARIAN C. WALTER, 74, of Fort Wayne, died Saturday, April 24, 2004, at Hospice home. Born March 20, 1930, in Fort Wayne, she was an Executive Secretary and Accountant for Bankers Investment Corp., retiring after 27 years, in 1975. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Rosary Sodality. "She was happily married for 52 years. She loved her family dearly."

Surviving are her husband, Ernest of Fort Wayne; son, Daniel J. (Vicki) Walter of Fowler; sister, Carol J. Rowley of Fort Wayne; brothers, Delbert J. (Rita) Minnick of Fort Wayne and John L. Minnich of Oscala, Fla.; grandson, Derek Walter of Fort Wayne; granddaughter, Danette (Chris) Jewell of Fort Wayne; and great-grandchildren, Zachary, Austin and Jacob Jewell. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Agnes; and brothers, Kermit and Bernard Minnich.

Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave., with vigil service at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Memorials to the Masses or Vising Nurse Service & Hospice Home.
