CORFUROBERT R. ROWLEY, 72, who formerly operated a general store here for 14 years, died yesterday (31 July 1944) at his home. No 288 Rockingham St., Rochester. Born Waverly-- 16 Jan 1872, son of the late REV. and MRS. CALVIN ROWLEY. He was proprietor of a shoe store at Attica before coming to Corfu in 1902 and after leaving here worked a few years for the Todd Protectograph Co. in Albany for a few years. He had resided in Rochester about 1 year. Survived by his wife BERTHA PORTER ROWLEY, whom he married 16 Nov 1894; two daughters, MRS. KATHERINE M. COOK and MISS HILDEGARDE R. ROWLEY and two brothers BURT C. AND FRED W. ROWLEY, all of Rochester. Funeral tomorrow from C. B. Beach & Son Mortuary at 11'clock, Rev. Charles C. Campbell rector of St. Luke's Ch. at Attica, officiating. Burial at Evergreen Cemetery |
