DEATHS

Mildred E. Prast

Mildred E. Prast, 90, of Danville, went to be with her personal Lord and Savior, Jesus, at 7:45 a.m. Sunday (Oct. 26, 2003) at Pleasant Meadows Nursing Home in Chrisman.

She was born on Sept. 28, 1913, the daughter of Sherman B. and Edna E. Enos Hill in Fairmount, IL. She married Raymond C. Prast. He preceded her in death.

Survivors are: two grandchildren, Michael S. (Shirley) Gose of Danville and Debra L. (Jim) Rowley of Avon, Ind.; four great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, two daughters, Donna Gose and Donola Cook, one son, Donald Cook Jr., and several brothers and sisters.

She was a member of the First Christian Church in Chrisman. Before graduating from Iowa College and attending Utterback Business College, she helped on the family farm. After moving to Danville she worked at the General Electric plant as an assembler and a line inspector before retired in 1970. She loved helping others and her greatest wish was that everyone would accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

Private services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center; Officiating: Chaplain Dennis Jones; Burial: Lower Mound Cemetery in Perrysville, Ind.; Visitation will be one hour prior to services; Memorials may be made to Pleasant Meadows Nursing Home in Chrisman.
