MARY A ROWLEY

Cumberland, MD-- Mary Alice Rowley, 87, of Pine Ridge Road, Bedford, Pa., died Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2002, at Western Maryland Health System's Memorial Campus.

Born Nov. 4, 1915, in Davis, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Claude Weaver and Clara Elizabeth (Dawson) Weaver. She was also preceded in death by her husband William M. Rowley Sr. in 1986.

Mrs. Rowley was a dedicated homemaker and cherished her family. She was a member of Memorial Avenue Church of Christ and was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She is survived by three sons, James W. Rowley and wife Carol, Cumberland, Gerald C. Rowley and wife Jean, Frostburg, and William M. Rowley Jr. and wife Deborah, Chantilly, Va.; a daughter, Cheryl D. Reed, Mechanicsville; nine grandchildren, James W. Rowley and wife Lisa, North East, Kevin G. Rowley and wife Karen, San Marcos, Calif., Lauren S. Letwin and husband Bennett, San Clemente, Calif., Karen S. Hickman and husband Jeoffrey, Leesburg, Va., Pamela J. Asano, Osaka, Japan, Steven G. Rowley and wife Kathy, Millersville, Pa., Jennifer A. Johnson and husband Scott, Centreville, Va., Jason W. Rowley, Centreville, Pa., and Alissa D. Reed, Mechanicsville; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St. Cumberland, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday, at 11 a.m. with the minister of Memorial Avenue Church of Christ, Edwin E. Floyd, officiating

Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park
