DEATHSGeorge Grover ROWLEY, 76, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away Saturday, July 3, 2004, in Arlington, Texas. He was born Oct. 14, 1927, in Wauneta, Neb. to George and Wilma (Waidley) Rowley. He was a 1945 graduate of Chase County High School in Imperial, Neb. He enlisted in the United States Navy in August of 1945 during World War II and was discharged on Oct. 13, 1948. He married Jackie Simmons on Dec. 17, 1948 at her parents' home. To this union four children, Steve, Kathy, Jeanie and Jenny Lynn were born. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Gwendolyn and brothers Bob and Darrell. Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 6, 2004, at 3:30 p.m. (CT) in Greenwood Chapel in Fort Worth, Texas, with Pastor Harold Thornbrough officiating. Interment was at Greenwood Memorial Park. Greenwood Funeral Home of Fort Worth, Texas was in charge of arrangements. |
