Retired Davison County Farmer Dies in MitchellEmerson P. Rowley, retired Davison County farmer, died Wednesday evening at a local hospital at the age of 77. He had been a resident of the county for the past 54 years. Survivors include two sons, Dale of Compton, Calif. And Dave of Amherst, Ohio; three daughters, Mrs. Lloyd Onstot of Hinkley, Minn., Mrs. B. J. Murphy of Mitchell and Mrs. Kenneth Blunt of Anaheim, Calif.; 14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the H. Noble and Son Chapel with the Rev. William Miller officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. The body will lie in state at Nobles from 7 to 9 p.m Friday. |
Mrs. E. P. Rowley, Mother of Six, DiesMrs. E. P. Rowley, a resident of Mitchell for 45 years, died at a Mitchell hospital at midnight, Friday. Funeral services will be held from the Methodist church at 2:30 p. m. Tuesday, with Dr. J. S. Hoagland, district superintendent of the Methodist church, officiating. Mrs. Rowley was 48 years old. She is survived by her widower, and six children, Walter, Dale, Mrs. Floyd Long, Mrs. Joe Murphy, Dereen June and David Emerson, all of Mitchell. She also is survived by a sister, Mrs. John Claymore of Huron, and a brother, Eugene H. Rand of Chehalts, Wash.
