ObituariesEvelyn A. Wilber June 14, 1919 - Oct. 25, 2003Evelyn A. Wilber, 84, of Fremont, and formerly of Port Clinton, died early Saturday morning at her residence. She was born in Port Clinton, the daughter of the now deceased William Adair and Alice (Galleher) Wilber. She was an Army nurse during World War II serving in France and obtained the rank of first lieutenant. She was employed as a registered nurse for Margruder Hospital, retiring in 1978 after 32 years service. She was an avid bowler and golfer and enjoyed water sports. Survivors include nephews George C. Wilber and Kevin Rowley; nieces Evelyn A. Smith, Mary I. Gill and Kathy Ganas. She was preceded in death by brothers Roscoe "Bud" Wilber, and Adair Charles Wilber; sister Dorothy Rowley and nephew John R. Wilber. Visitation: None. Services: Private. Memorials: Ottawa County Humane Society. Neidecker-LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements |
