C.M. Rowley Dies in MinneapolisFormer Well Known Port Huron Man Passes Away on Sunday Charles M. Rowley, a former well-known resident of this city, died at this home in Minneapolis on Saturday. The remains will be brought to the city and taken to the home of his daughter, Mrs. R. F. Simpson, 1606 Sixth Street. The funeral announcement will be made later. Mr. Rowley, together with his family resided in Port Huron for many years, but moved to Minneapolis some time ago. Mr. Rowley was well known as a traveling man and for many years called on the trade in Michigan. He is survived by a widow, two sons and two daughters as follows: Bruce Rowley, Charles B Rowley, Miss Maud Rowley, and Mrs. R. F. Simpson. The news of Mr. Rowley’s death was received in this city on Sunday but no particulars were given. |
Death Claims Miss M. RowleyFormer Well Known Port Huron Girl Passes Away in Minneapolis Word was received in this city on Sunday by Mrs. Frank Simpson [Isabelle] of the death of her sister, Miss Maude Rowley, which occurred Saturday night in Minneapolis of Bright’s disease. Miss Rowley was born in Port Huron, where she lived until two years ago, when she moved to Minneapolis with her mother and brothers. She was a graduate of the Port Huron high school and for several years was a member of the First congregational church choir, being one of the soloists. Her life had been one of love, sacrifice, and service that endeared her to all who knew her and her passing will be regretted by a wide circle of friends. Her mother, Mrs. Charles M. Rowley; two brothers, Bruce and Charles Rowley of Minneapolis and one sister, Mrs. Frank Simpson of the city survives Miss Rowley. The remains will be brought to Port Huron for internment and the funeral announcement will be made later. | |

Simpson, former Port Huron resident who died Saturday in her home in Hamilton, Ontario will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday in Falk’s funeral residence. The remains are expected to arrive here at 10:40 p.m. today. |
DEATHSMRS. MINNIE A. ROWLEY, 95, former Port Huron resident, died Thursday in her Minneapolis MN home. Mrs. Rowley was the widow of Charles M. Rowley, who died in 1914. She had lived in Minneapolis for the last 38 years but previously had been a Port Huron resident nearly 50 years. She was a member of the First Congregational Church here. She is survived by two sons, B. L. Rowley and Charles B. Rowley, both from Minneapolis, and a sister Mrs. Ada B. Fowler [nee Ada Josephine Baker], Detroit. The remains will arrive in Port Huron Sunday and will be taken to the Albert A. Falk & Son funeral home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the funeral home by Rev. H. Shelby Lee, pastor of the First Congregational Church. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery at Port Huron. |

DEATHSBRUCE L. ROWLEY, Minneapolis MN, former resident here and retired sales manager of the Minneapolis branch of Port Huron Machinery company, died unexpectedly Wednesday in Chicago while traveling here to visit friends. He would have been 76 on Monday. He is survived by a brother, Charles B. Rowley, Minneapolis and two nieces, Mrs. David Robbins and Mrs. John Meehan, both of Hamilton, Ontario. The remains will arrive Friday morning at Albert Falk and Son funeral home where funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday. Rev. H. Shelby Lee, pastor of First congregational church, of which Mr. Rowley was a former member, will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery at Port Huron. |
