Know all ye men by these presents that we Jacob Checksonuh, Solomon Unkaunnukwaunnuhmat, John Naunauphtaunk, Hendrick Soopunkseet, Jehoiakim Mohhowwowweet, and Jonas Etaukaum all of Stockbridge in the county of Berkshire and province of the Massachusetts Bay in New England, gentleman and yeomen, for ...40 pounds well and truly paid by our order and desire for defraying the charges arisen by the imprisonment of Jacob Umpencheny alias Unkaumug on the account of said Jacobs wounding John Gripen. By Daniel Rowley of Richmont in sd. county...grant...100 acres in the town of Stockbridge, the same to be takenup in said Stockbridge upon the right and interest of us...in any part of the undivided lands in said Stockbridge upon our rights...we the above said Jacob Solomon John Hendrick Jehoiakim and Joan hereby conveying to sd. Said tracts, and buildings, [are] worth 600 pounds." Daniel Rowley conveys to Aaron Sheldon several tracts in Richmont: 1) " 2 pieces or parcels of land called my home farm, lying part on the East side of the country road and part on the West side...my dwelling house standing on the East side of the road, and my barn on the West." One piece contains 8 acres with an orchard, and the other piece on the other side of the road) contains 63 acres. 2) Another piece of land part of lot 18, 40 acres. Witnesses - Timo. Know ye, that I Daniel Rowley of Richmont, in the county of Berkshire and province of Massachusetts Bay / yeoman / in consideration of natural affiliation, love and goodwill I have and do bear unto my sons Daniel Rowley junr., Parson Rowley and Reuben Rowley have given, granted unto them... a lot of land lying in Richmont aforesaid containing about 100 acres, bounding West on the highway, North on Simeon Chittendons land, East on David Van Schaacks lands, and South on Ezekial Crockers land with the buildings on the same, also one other tract lying in Stockbridge or Queen borough in said county, West of Maple Hill so called, bounding on the East on a highway North on common or undivided land, West on the land of Josiah Arnold & Ichabod Miller South partly on Benjamin Johnsons land, and partly on Rawsons Land. Also another tract lying in sd Queens borough bounding East partly on John Mineklus (?) land, South, West and North on common of undivided land, containing 100 acres. The bounds whereof may be seen by the records thereof in the proprietors book of records for sd. Stockbridge.
