Old and New Testaments with many full page steel engravings of the finest quality. Each engraving has a very elaborate border with smaller engravings surrounding the main subject.

Huge and heavy...weighs 19 pounds! Condition is amazingly excellent with only the most minimal wear commensurate with its age.

The Holy Bible, containing the Old and New Testaments. Translated out of the original tongues and with the former translations diligently compared and revised. With an index of subjects, the harmony of the four evangelists, and tables of measure, weights and coins.

Family register begins  in 1798 (Margaret Williams). The marriage of Samuel R. Rowley and Mary Jane Theall is in 1843 and the births of their four children. Other family history kept up to date through 1959.

The beautiful brown fine leather binding is ornately tooled and stamped with ornate decoration, gilt title and raised bands on the spine. Pages are gilded on the edges. The edges of the leather are stamped in a geometric gold decoration as is the leather which shows when you open the front and back covers. The binding is tight and the leather is not dry or brittle.
