CORRECTION.

On page 58 of the RECORD for January, 1906, Henry Rowley is called father-in-law of his second wife's sons, Thomas and Peter Blossom, and Peter Blossom is called son-in-law of Henry Rowley. This is in accord with the ancient meaning of the words father-in-law, and son-in-law, but of course conveys a wrong impression as the words are now used. We now use the terms step-father and step-son for these relationships.

On the same page of the RECORD for January, 1906, the statement about Mary Hatch, dau, of Jonathan and Sarah (Rowley) Hatch, being the second wife of William Weeks, according to Otis, cannot be clear to the reader as it stands. William Weeks married first, March 16, 1669, Mercy, dau. of Mr. Isaac Robinson, and hence if Mary Weeks mentioned in the will of Jonathan Hatch was the wife of William Weeks, as seems most probably true, we must assume, as Otis does, that Mercy (Robinson) Weeks died early, and that Mary Hatch was William Weeks second wife.
